Yujie Xue is a Hong Kong-based business reporter currently working at the South China Morning Post, where she covers China’s energy transition, climate change, and sustainability.

Before this, she reported on China technology at SCMP’s Shenzhen bureau and at Sixth Tone in Shanghai. Her work has earned her several journalism awards, including the SOPA Award for Excellence in Feature Writing in 2020 and the SOPA Award for Excellence in Business Reporting in 2019. She was also part of the SCMP team that won the WAN IFRA Asian Media Award for Best Breaking News Article in 2022.

Yujie has a master’s degree in Mass Communication from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree of Translation Studies from Lingnan University in Hong Kong.
