Yujie Xue is an award-winning writer and strategic communicator based in Hong Kong, driving the global narrative at the intersection of climate, tech, and media.
Currently serving as the International Communications Officer at Greenpeace East Asia, she translates complex data and technical jargon into high-impact stories that shape the global climate conversation and hold major corporations and governments accountable.
Before pivoting to advocacy, Yujie spent years in the newsroom as a business and tech reporter for the South China Morning Post (SCMP) and Sixth Tone. Her investigative coverage earned her back-to-back SOPA Awards for Excellence in Business Reporting (2019) and Feature Writing (2020). She was also part of the SCMP team that captured the WAN-IFRA Asian Media Award for Best Breaking News (2022) and is a National Press Foundation Journalism Fellow in 2025.
Yujie holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies from Lingnan University in Hong Kong.
